Latchways plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment to the Board of Mr Christopher Casey with immediate effect. Mr Casey was a partner in the accountancy firm KPMG until 2010, and is currently a non executive director of TR European Growth Trust PLC, BlackRock North American Income Trust PLC, and China Polymetallic Mining Limited. Mr Casey will assume the role of Chair of the Latchways plc audit committee, and will be a member of the remuneration and nomination committees.

No further disclosures are necessary in respect of Christopher Casey's appointment under paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.

Mr Casey will replace Ian Pickering, non-executive director, who had indicated his intention not to stand for re-election at this year's AGM to allow him to focus his time on his other activities. He has accordingly resigned from the Board of Directors with immediate effect.

The nomination committee of Latchways plc is continuing to seek a further non executive director and will make an appropriate announcement in due course.
