PRE-EARNINGS GUIDANCE FOR 1Q 2016
(UNAUDITED OPERATING STATISTICS)
The board of directors (the ''Board'') of LG Electronics Inc. (the ''Company'') is pleased to announce certain unaudited operating statistics of the Company and its subsidiaries (the ''Group'') for the first quarter of 2016 as follows.
In the first quarter of 2016, the Group's consolidated sales amounted to KRW 13,362.1 billion (as compared to KRW 14,560.1 billion in 2015.4Q and KRW 13,994.4 billion in 2015.1Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 8.2% (QoQ↓8.2%) and a year-on-year decrease of 4.5% (YoY↓4.5%).
The Group's consolidated operating income amounted to KRW 505.2 billion (as compared to KRW 349.0 billion in 2015.4Q and KRW 305.2 billion in 2015.1Q), representing a quarter-on-quarter increase of 44.8% (QoQ↑44.8%) and a year-on-year increase of 65.5% (YoY↑65.5%), respectively.
