Leaf Clean Energy Company28 June 2007 Leaf Clean Energy Company First day of dealings on AIM Leaf Clean Energy Company ("Leaf" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce aplacing and admission of its shares to AIM. Leaf Clean Energy Company was incorporated in May 2007 for the purpose ofacquiring interests in, owning, operating and managing clean energy companiesand projects primarily in North America. The Company's main investment objectiveis to achieve long-term capital appreciation through the interests it plans toacquire in the clean energy sector, as well as through the potential generationand commercialisation of carbon credits derived from these projects. The Company believes that the clean energy sector is attractive due to theincreasing demand for clean energy, driven by environmental and energydependence concerns, on the one hand, and by its increasing competitiveness asan alternative source of energy on the other. The placing comprises an issue of 200,000,000 new ordinary shares of £0.0001each in the capital of the Company, at a price of 100p per ordinary share, toraise £200 million before expenses. Asset advisory services will be provided to Leaf by Energy and Climate Advisors,a management company in which EEA Fund Management Limited ("EEA") and ShawCapital, Inc.
