Leeds Group PLC08 March 2007 Issued on behalf of Leeds Group plcDate: Thursday, 8 March 2007 IMMEDIATE RELEASE Leeds Group plc Annual General Meeting At today's Annual General Meeting, Ewen Wigley, Non-Executive Chairman, toldshareholders: "In our preliminary results announcement made on 31 January 2007 we stated thatthe new financial year had begun with strong sales at Hemmers-Itex. "I can now report that the results of the first four months of the currentfinancial year continue to be satisfactory. Sales in that period byHemmers-Itex, the Group's continuing business, were in line with last year,although profitability has been constrained a little by the costs ofconsolidating our KMT operation onto our principal facility at Nordhorn. "We referred in the Report & Accounts to a plot of land of approximately 5 Acresowned by Leeds Group at Yeadon Banks. Within the last few days the board haslearned that Leeds City Council have resolved to register this land as a town orvillage green. This is in line with the recommendation to that effect containedin the report of the independent inspector, which followed a two-daynon-statutory public local hearing on 7th and 8th November 2006. "The board and its advisers are studying this report most carefully, and willdecide over the next few weeks whether to seek a judicial review of the decisionof Leeds City Council. "The Board continues to explore possible ways to apply the cash resources at itsdisposal for the benefit of shareholders and will make further announcements indue course as appropriate." All resolutions were duly passed. As mentioned in the Company's final results announced in January, Vin Murria did not offer herself for re-election at today's AGM and accordingly is no longer adirector of Leeds Group plc. Vin joined the Board in February 2002 and was appointed Chairman in April 2004. The board extend to her their thanks for hervaluable contribution to the considerable restructuring and change that has beenachieved in this period.
