Astana,Ā 03Ā JulyĀ 2009.Ā JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration ProductionĀ ("the Company" or "KMG EP")Ā announces thatĀ pursuant to the Share Buy Back ProgrammeĀ commencedĀ onĀ 24Ā November,Ā 2008,Ā onĀ 02Ā JulyĀ 2009Ā the CompanyĀ acquiredĀ 300Ā of its ordinary sharesĀ (KASE:RDGZ)Ā on the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange atĀ anĀ average price ofĀ KZTĀ 17,850Ā each.

Since the start of the ShareĀ Buy Back Programme, the Company has purchased in aggregateĀ 7,201,697Ā GDRs andĀ 109,481Ā ordinary shares.
