K3 Business Technology Group PLC08 November 2006 KBT.L K3 BUSINESS TECHOLOGY GROUP PLC ("K3") ANNOUNCES NEW CONTRACT WINS WORTH £2.3m K3, the IT solutions provider to the retail, distribution and manufacturingsectors, is pleased to announce that its Retail Software Division has securedfive new contracts for its Microsoft Dynamics solution (formerly Navision) wortha total of £2.3m over the next twelve months. All of these new contract winshave been secured in the Fashion and Household Goods sectors. Over the first half of the financial year, the Retail Software Division createdsector specific business units in Breweries/Drinks, Food, Household Goods andFashion. The new wins in the Fashion sector are particularly encouraging sinceit represents a relatively new area for the Division. The Retail Software Division will be installing and supporting MicrosoftDynamics business management software across all the new contracts. The softwareenables retailers to utilise a single software platform across their entireoperations, from head office and stores to individual tills (EPOS - ElectronicPoint of Sale). With the same software running across all aspects of thebusiness process, the solution offers retailers enhanced data and sales analysisand typically delivers lower cost of ownership than traditional retailsolutions.
