KBC Advanced Technologies plc07 August 2006 KBC Advanced Technologies plc ("KBC" or "the Company") Contract award KBC Advanced Technologies plc ("KBC") today announces the signing of a newmulti-site contract with PEMEX Refinacion PEMEX Refinacion is a subsidiary ofPetroleos Mexicanos ("PEMEX"), Mexico's national oil company and the largestcompany in Mexico. The US$6.3M contract covers five domestic refineries, and includes clean fuelsstudies, refinery reconfiguration work, and the licensing of Petro-SIM(TM), KBC'srefinery-wide process simulation software, complete with multiple process unitsimulation models, for each location. The majority of the consulting work isexpected to be carried out by the end of 2006.
