DIRECTOR'S SHAREHOLDINGS

Johnston Press plc announces that it has been notified today by one of its non-executive directors Mr M Pain that he transferred 580,527 ordinary shares of 10p, representing all of his holding at the time of transfer, on 14 December 2012 into a nominee account in joint names with his wife.

Following the Company's announcement regarding purchases of shares by non-executive directors on 18 December 2012, his total shareholding is now 603,272.

The Company is making this announcement in accordance with DTR rule 3.1.2.
