Board Changes

Johnston Press plc (the "Company"), one of the leading community media groups in the UK and Ireland, announces that Stephen van Rooyen will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 June 2013. Geoff Iddison, who has served as a Non-Executive Director since January 2010, will step down at the end of June 2013.

Stephen van Rooyen has held a number of senior roles at Sky since joining in 2006, his most recent position being Managing Director, Sales and Marketing. He was previously Director of Strategy at Virgin Media and has also worked at News International and Accenture in both Australia and the UK.

There is no further information required to be disclosed under paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct Authority relating to Mr van Rooyen's appointment.
