BOARD APPOINTMENT
Johnston Press plc, one of the leading community media groups in the UK and Ireland, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ralph Marshall as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Ralph is an Executive Director of Usaha Tegas Sdn. Bhd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of which recently subscribed for 20% of Johnston Press' issued share capital as announced on 14 May 2008. He is a Chartered Accountant with some 30 years' experience in financial and general management and serves on the boards of several companies listed on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad including Astro All Asia Networks plc as Executive Deputy Chairman.
