Issue of shares

The Company has today issued 1,462,564 2015 Zero Dividend Preference Shares to J.P. Morgan Cazenove Ltd at a price of 51.25p per share.
Application has been made to list the shares on the UK Official List and London Stock Exchange with dealings commencing at 8am on 20 March 2009.
Immediately following the issue, the Company's issued share capital will consist of 274,260,173 shares of no par value (excluding treasury shares) each classified as US$ equity shares, 63,367,316 shares of no par value (excluding treasury shares) each classified as 2013 zero dividend preference shares and 16,088,214 shares of no par value (excluding treasury shares) each classified as 2015 zero dividend preference shares.
