It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our colleague, Chris Spencer. Mr. Spencer was a member of JPEL's Board since its inception in 2005 and was an integral part of the Company's history and will be dearly missed.
The Board of JPEL has appointed Tim Wilson as an interim Director to fill the vacancy with immediate effect from 13 December 2022. Further information regarding Mr. Wilson is set forth below:
Tim joined the board of IQ EQ Fund Services (Guernsey) Limited in April 2019 following seven years as a Director of State Street (Guernsey) Limited- the US alternative asset fund administrator.
Tim holds directorships on un-listed entities within both regulated and un-regulated Guernsey fund structures across real estate, private equity, PE Fund of Funds and Infrastructure.
Tim is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and holds a BSc Honours Degree from Royal Holloway, University of London. Tim began his career in Audit & Advisory with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2000 and after completing his training contract, joined Kleinwort Benson as a Client Accountant in 2004, quickly becoming Channel Islands Head of Fund Accounting by 2006 where he stayed until 2012, assimilating a deep understanding of fund administration, corporate governance, accounting and financial reporting across private equity, real estate and London listed funds.
In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that there are no additional details to be disclosed in relation to Mr Wilson.
Mr. Wilson is not considered as independent for the purposes of Listing Rule 15.2.11 by virtue of the services that the IQ EQ group provides to other funds managed or advised by members of the group which comprises the Company's investment manager. Following the appointment of Mr. Wilson, JPEL's Board will continue to be comprised of a majority independent non-executive board members in compliance with Listing Rule 15.2.11.
