APPOINTMENT AS NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Notification is made in accordance with Listing Rule 9.6.14 that Bruce Burrows, Finance Director and Company Secretary of JKX Oil & Gas plc, has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director of European Goldfields Limited, subject to the completion of regulatory clearances. European Goldfields Limited is a resource company involved in the exploration, acquisition, mining and development of mineral properties in Greece, Romania and South-East Europe. European Goldfields Limited is listed on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange and on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
