Judges Capital PLC29 January 2008 29 January 2008 Judges Capital Plc ("Judges Capital" or the "Company") Pre Close Trading Statement The Directors of Judges Capital, the scientific instruments group, are pleasedto announce a trading update in respect of the year ended 31 December 2007. At the time of the interim results, issued on 21 September 2007, the Companyreported that second half trading had started favourably benefiting from astrong order book, that all businesses continued to enjoy active markets andthat the Board was confident of the Group's ability to meet its targets for thefull year. The Board is pleased to report that the Group continued to trade strongly duringthe second half. Consequently, the Board anticipates that the results for thefull year ended 31 December 2007 will be in excess of current marketexpectations. The Board is also pleased to report that the Company entered theNew Year with an almost doubled order book compared to the level reached at thebeginning of 2007; in the opinion of the Directors, this augurs well for 2008. The Board recognises that, in view of the limited liquidity in the Company'sshares, the share price does not necessarily reflect the Group's favourableprospects. Accordingly, the Board intends, in the near future, to propose a 'whitewash' resolution (per the City Code) to enable the Company to purchase itsown shares without triggering an offer for its entire share capital.
