Block Listing Application

Phytopharm plc (LSE: PYM) announces that an application has today been made to the UK Listing Authority and the London Stock Exchange for the block listing of 200,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each to be admitted to the Official List.

The block admission relates to ordinary shares which will be allotted from time to time in accordance with the exercise of options under the Company's Share Option Plan 2007 and will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares in issue. It is anticipated that the block listing application will be granted on 16 April 2012.
