ITIS Holdings PLC29 August 2007 29th August 2007 CONTRACT EXTENSION MITSUBISHI MOTORS EUROPE HAVE EXTENDED THEIR CONTRACT WITH ITIS ITIS Holdings plc (ITIS) today announces a 3-year contract extension withMitsubishi Motors Europe B.V. to continue to supply its RDS-TMC (Radio DataSystem - Traffic Message Channel). The ITIS RDS-TMC service is a standard feature on the factory-installedsatellite navigation system, which is available on the new Mitsubishi Outlanderand new Mitsubishi Pajero factory fitted satellite navigation systems for theEuropean market. The new Outlander's and Pajero's navigation system is enabled to receive the TMCmessages broadcast by ITIS, which holds the UK licence to broadcast TMC whichwas awarded by the Radio Authority (now Ofcom). Satellite navigation systemsenabled for TMC receive real-time traffic information data from ITIS, not onlyto provide drivers with aural and visual alerts on traffic hold-ups ahead, butalso to automatically suggest alternative routes enabling drivers to dynamicallyre-route around congestion. These advanced features are expected to also be made available later with theall-new Lancer family of cars (Lancer Sports Sedan, Lancer Sportback and LancerEvolution).
