New Cloud Managed Services Contracts Drive iomart's Growth

iomart Group plc (AIM:IOM), the managed hosting and cloud computing services company, continues to win new hosting contracts through its iomart hosting division, that is typically adding 15 - 25 contracts per month from both new and existing customers.

These complex hosting contracts, with both public and private sector organisations, reflect the emerging and fast growing trend among companies to outsource all or part of their IT services to the cloud.

Examples of contracts won in the last few months that are delivering cloud managed services include a three year deal to host and manage the web and email platforms for Doctors.net.uk. This is the largest, most active online medical network in the U.K., currently supporting 160,000 registered doctors.

iomart has also won the contract to manage and host the server infrastructure for new media company Tilllate Media, the world's largest online nightlife community and guide.

In addition iomart is pleased to have been awarded the contract to host SocialGo™, Aim listed Bright Things plc's social networking venture.

Between them these three contracts have a total contract value of £1.6m and provide access and services to over 2.5 million online users.

iomart has also signed a number of managed service contracts within the education sector. iomart's fully hosted web based security service is being deployed on up to 270,000 laptops to be issued to underprivileged children under the UK Government's Universal Home Access (UHA) project managed by Becta (formerly known as the British Educational Communications and Technology Agency). iomart has also won a three year managed services deal with learndirect's operators Ufi Ltd to deliver Disaster Recovery for its main IT services.
