iomart launches two new cloud hosting platforms

iomart Group plc (AIM:IOM), the managed hosting services company, is pleased to announce the launch of two new cloud hosting platforms, Cloud Xtra and CloudSure.

The two platforms will allow customers to make use of the 'cloud' (remote, scalable IT resources) via two different delivery models, both of which will result in increased efficiencies and lower costs for the customer.

CloudXtra allows customers a seamless capacity upgrade when they have seasonal or sudden demands on their hosted infrastructure. This enables them to maximise value by having a fixed cost base platform integrated with iomart's cloud infrastructure, allowing variable computing power when they need it.

CloudSure is aimed at the corporate market, where high availability is a real and highly valued requirement for those running business critical applications. This service ties together the physical hosting model of today with tomorrow's cloud computing model, guaranteeing 100% uptime.
