Non-Executive Appointmentย
Island Oil & Gas plc ("Island" or the "Company"), today announces that it is expanding its Board with the appointment of Adrian Doullย as a Non-executive Director with effect from 12ย September 2008.ย
Adrianย (age 64) was born inย South Africaย andย graduated from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.ย Adrianย has had a long association with the oil and gas industry, particularly inย North Americaย where he was the Chief Operating Officer of the Anglo American Group's operating businesses.ย
He is a director of Comm Inc andย hasย servedย on the board of a number of oil and gas companies, including Adobe Oil & Gas, Francana Oil & Gas, Canadian Merrill and Trend Exploration.ย
He has considerable international experience in natural resources inย Africaย andย North America, as well as inย Europe, where he has lived for the past 20 years. Until 2003, he was Senior Director -ย Europe,ย Africaย & theย Middle East, of the international energy research and consulting firm, Cambridge Energy Research Associates (CERA).
There is no further information to be disclosed in accordance with Schedule 2(g) of theย AIMย Rules.
