InternetQ and Sony Mobile announce Akazoo music streaming partnership in Malaysia.
InternetQ PLC (LSE: INTQ), one of the leading providers of mobile marketing and digital entertainment solutions for mobile network operators and brands, is pleased to announce a co-marketing partnership with Sony Mobile to provide live music streaming services for its social media music application, Akazoo in Malaysia.
As part of the collaboration between InternetQ and Sony Mobile, the Akazoo music streaming service will be offered through a promotional three month free period to users of Sony's new Xperia Z-Ultra and Xperia Z1 smartphone devices across Malaysia. Purchasers of these Sony Mobile devices will have instant access to Akazoo via their App tray.
A recent survey by Ericsson ConsumerLab revealed that Malaysia with a population of 29 million had already hit 137% mobile penetration. During August 2013 smartphone ownership in the region reached circa 63% with that number expected to rise to circa 80% within the next six months.
