TOTAL VOTING RIGHTS
In conformity with Regulation 20 of the Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC), the Company announces that as of 31 December 2009:
The Company's issued share capital consists of 1,694,180,394 Ordinary Shares of nominal value €0.05 each of which the Company holds 39,179,536 Ordinary Shares in treasury, which do not carry voting rights and 1,844,099,165 Fully Paid Rights which will become Ordinary Shares on 5 January 2010. Therefore, the total number of shares with voting rights at 31 December 2009 is 1,655,000,858 and this will increase to 3,499,100,023 on 5 January 2010.
The above figure may be used by shareholders as a denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the Transparency (Directive 2004/109/EC) Regulations 2007 and the Transparency Rules of the Financial Regulator.
