Dublin/Londonย -ย 27ย October,ย 2009: Independent News & Media PLC ("INM" or theย "Company")ย today announces thatย Glass Lewis, the proxy advisory firm,ย hasย recommendedย that shareholders vote in line withย INM'sย recommendation and AGAINST the resolutionย being putย toย the Extraordinary General Meetingย (EGM)ย onย Friday,ย 13 November, 2009.ย
Thisย recommendationย follows RiskMetrics Group who also recommended in line with INM andย AGAINST the resolution.
