Avanti Screenmedia Group PLC14 November 2006 14 November 2006 Avanti Screenmedia Group plc ("Avanti") Contract Win Avanti Screenmedia Group plc (AIM: ASG.L), the UK media and telecommunications business, is pleased to announce the award of a contract in its Networks Division. Avanti has been awarded a European Commission contract, as a Prime Contractor for a project called SISTER (Satcoms In Support of Transport on European Roads). This is Avanti's first contracted involvement in the global satellite navigation project (or system), Galileo, which is the largest satellite programme being undertaken in Europe. Avanti will lead a pan-European consortium containing some of the leadingcompanies in the expanding Intelligent Transportation Systems field. The projectwill promote the integration of satellite and terrestrial communications withGalileo to enable mass market take up by road transport applications. Thecontract value is €5.4 million.
