Board and Management changes
IFG is pleased to announce that Mr Aidan Comerford has been co-opted as an Executive Director of the Company, effective immediately.
Mr Comerford, aged 40, has held the position of Head of Risk and Internal Audit with IFG since April 2009 and will now assume responsibility for Finance and Risk. He joined IFG in October 2008 when IFG acquired Pensco Limited (now IFG Pensco Limited) where he held the position of chief operating officer. He is a chartered accountant with 20 years financial services experience having held the position of finance director and general manager of a number of privately held financial services companies.
Mr Paul McDermott has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and Head of Treasury. He is a Fellow member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. He joined the Company in 2001 and has held various positions in finance throughout the Company in that period.
Mr Donal Lynch, Company Secretary of IFG since 1989, is retiring from the Company and will be replaced by Mr Conleth O'Reilly, effective 1 October 2010. Mr O'Reilly is a Qualified Solicitor, has completed a MBA (Honours) at the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business UCD and has held many senior positions within the Xerox group of companies.
