Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Immunodiagnostic Systems Holdings plc ("IDS"), a leading producer of diagnostic testing kits for the clinical and research markets, announces the appointment of Dr. Burkhard Wittek as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 20 October 2009.

Dr. Wittek, aged 56, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. After working for Dresdner Bank AG he spent thirteen years with The Boston Consulting Group where he was a senior partner with worldwide responsibility for the consumer goods / retail and healthcare sectors. In 1990 he founded FORUM Family Office which makes long-term investments in German Private Equity and European Small and Midcap situations.

David Evans, Chairman of IDS, said, "We are very pleased to appoint Burkhard to the Board. Burkhard's  extensive knowledge and experience in the diagnostic sector will be a great asset for IDS as it continues to grow and he will no doubt provide a new and refreshing input to the Board's discussions. Burkhard has long recognised the growth potential of IDS, with Forum Venture Capital GmbH having become an investor in 2007 and now owning nearly 25% of the Company, and we welcome his continued support.

Aim Rules Disclosures:

Dr. Wittek was Chairman of Novaspin AG a start-up company which was placed into administration on 21 October 2002 due to a lack of funding.

There are no further matters in connection with the appointment of Dr. Wittek to be disclosed under Schedule Two, paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules.
