AGM Statement

Cupid plc (AIM: CUP), a global leader in online dating, will hold its Annual General Meeting today at 2pm. At the meeting, the Chairman will issue the following update on current trading.

"During the first half of 2012, the Company has seen rapid growth in the popularity of its products, in particular within the new markets of the US and Europe and consequently the Board is confident that it will meet current full year market expectations.

"We are currently investigating several acquisition opportunities which are within our normal pricing and performance parameters, and will update progress as and when appropriate.

"The online dating space globally remains a growing market in which to do business with the increasing prevalence of smartphones and social networking sites offering new ways to interact socially. Cupid is already investing in the creation of some exciting new products to enhance its presence in this social and mobile environment. We will update further on this in Q4 2012."

Notice of results

The Company expects to announce a pre-close trading statement in early July and its half year results to 30 June 2012 on 3 September 2012. An analyst briefing will be held on the day of the results at 9.30am. In addition, an analyst and investor day with the management team will be held on 3 July at 11am.
