("UK Coal" or "the Company")
Share Interests of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities (PDMRs)
The Company has been notified today that the Directors and PDMRs listed below have subscribed for and have been allotted the following ordinary shares of 1 pence each ('Shares') in the Company, at an issue price of 75 pence per Share, pursuant to the Firm Placing and Placing and Open Offer ('the Offer') announced by the Company on 16 September 2009.
The Offer was approved by the shareholders at a General Meeting held on Friday, 9 October 2009 and the Shares were unconditionally allotted and admitted to trading today.
