Havelock Europa PLC19 October 2006 Thursday 19 October 2006 HAVELOCK EUROPA PLC Board Changes Havelock, the education and retail interiors and point of sale display group,announces the appointment as non-executive Directors with effect from 23 October2006 of Michael Derbyshire and Roland van Bommel and the retirement as anon-executive Director with effect from 31 December 2006 of Ian Godden. MrGodden's intention to retire had been intimated in the 2005 Annual Report. Michael Derbyshire, BSc (Eng), MBA, aged 59, is currently a non-executiveDirector of Carclo plc, a fully listed company, and non-executive Chairman oftwo private equity-backed companies, Allied Textiles Limited and Racal AcousticsGlobal Limited. In an executive capacity, he was Group Chief Executive ofWhitecroft Plc from 1993 to 2000. Roland van Bommel, aged 55, has since 2004 been Chief Executive of William Grant& Sons, a privately held Scotland-based whisky distiller. From 1999 to 2004, hewas Chief Executive Officer of Maxxium Worldwide BV, a Netherlands-based jointventure for the sale and distribution of premium wines and spirits with aturnover of €1.7bn. Previously, he was at Remy Cointeau SA, from 1986 to 1999,latterly as a member of the Executive Board, France. Ian Godden, BSc, MBA, FRAeS, aged 52, is currently the senior independent memberof the Board and has been a non-executive Director since April 1995. He hasconsistently provided sound judgement and his input on strategy has beeninvaluable.
