Press release 19 July 2012

Hightex Group plc

("Hightex" or the "Company")

SolarNext wins significant new contract

Hightex, a leading systems engineering company, which designs, fabricates and installs large area, cable supported, lightweight membrane roofs and façades worldwide, is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, SolarNext AG ("SolarNext") has won a significant contract to supply and install a thermal cooling system in an industrial production unit for a company based in Thuringia, Germany.

SolarNext, which designs and supplies proprietary thermal cooling systems, has received a sizeable order for the design and construction of a thermal cooling system, which should significantly reduce the operating costs of the factory of a building components supplier. The cooling system has a power capacity of 350 KW and is the largest unit to be supplied by SolarNext to date. Its contract value is in excess of EUR 250,000, with all revenues from this contract expected to be received in the second half of 2012. The value of this one contract is close to the aggregate value of sales within Solarnext achieved in the whole of 2011.

SolarNext continues to work on a number promising leads: as with the contract announced above, many of these targeted leads are focused on supplying systems with greater power capacity than those historically supplied by SolarNext, and hence will provide larger revenues per contract.

SolarNext has identified cost and energy efficient industrial processes as an important growth market and it remains focused on the exploitation of this exciting commercial opportunity.
