Tower Colliery Update

Hargreaves Services plc (AIM: HSP), a leading supplier of solid fuels and bulk material logistic services, provides an update in respect of the Tower Colliery project in South Wales.

We indicated in the Interim Results that management expected, barring unforeseen circumstances, that a decision could be forthcoming in March 2011. Whilst the planning and consultation process has continued to progress, we now expect the process to continue into the summer before any decision will be made.

Despite the extended process, management is pleased with the progress being made and will continue to work closely with the local authorities and other interested parties in order to secure a planning decision at the earliest opportunity.

A further announcement will be made as soon as the planning decision is obtained.
