Appointment of a new Director
The Board of Henderson Opportunities Trust plc ("the Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Davina Curling, as a non-executive director with effect from 1 November 2019. Davina will also join the Audit, Insider, Management Engagement and Nominations Committees with effect from 1 November 2019.
Davina has over 25 years of fund management experience. She is currently a director of Invesco Income Growth Trust plc and Blackrock Greater Europe Investment Trust plc and a member of the investment committee of St James's Place. Davina was managing director and head of Pan European equities at Russell Investments. Prior to that she was head of European equities at F&C, ISIS, Royal & SunAlliance. Davina has also previously held positions at Nikko Capital Management (UK) and Kleinwort Benson. She is currently a trustee of the Rosanna Hospital Charity.
In accordance with paragraphs 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules, it is confirmed that, other than the directorships listed above, there are no details to be disclosed in relation to Davina Curling.
Max King, who has served on the Board for more than 14 years, will retire with effect from the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting in March 2020.
