Wessex Exploration PLC ("Wessex" or "the Company") announces that on 4 January 2012 David Bramhill, Non-Executive Chairman, purchased 300,000 ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 5.15 pence each. Following this transaction David Bramhill holds 4,300,000 Ordinary Shares representing approximately 0.60 per cent. of the total Ordinary Shares in issue.
