INTEREST NOTIFIED UNDER SECTION 198 COMPANIES ACT 1985 Halma p.l.c. has today received the following notification dated 8 November 2006from Silchester International Investors Limited. Silchester International Investors Limited acts as an Investment Manager for anumber of commingled funds. In acting for its clients, Silchester are givenfull discretion over their investments, and are empowered to vote on theirbehalf. However, Silchester do not act as their Custodian, and therefore sharesare not held in the name of Silchester, but in the nominee name of its clients'Custodian bank.
