Directorate Changes

Hill & Smith Holdings PLCΒ ("Hill & Smith" or "the Company"),Β the international group with leading positions in theΒ supplyΒ of infrastructure products,Β galvanizing services and building and construction products to global markets,Β today announcesΒ the appointment ofΒ Jock Lennox as a Non-ExecutiveΒ Director.Β 

Jock recently retired as a Partner of Ernst & Young where he began his career in 1977 and became a Partner in 1988. During his time with Ernst & Young he advised global clients on financing, transactions and international expansion. Jock's experience spans a range of industries including the industrial products sectors, most notably as Head of Ernst & Young's UK & Global Industrial Products Sector boards.Β Β He is also a member of the Advisory Board of Alchemy, a member of the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, a Director of Golden Lane Housing Ltd andΒ was recently appointed to the Board of Oxford InstrumentsΒ plc as a Non-Executive Director.

There are no further matters required to be disclosed by paragraph 9.6.13 of The Listing Rules.

Hill & Smith also announces that Dick Richardson,Β Non-Executive Director, is toΒ retireΒ from the Board.

Both Board changes will take effect from 12 May 2009,Β immediately after the conclusionΒ ofΒ the Company'sΒ Annual General Meeting.
