Board changes
Yell announces the appointment of Carlos Espinosa de los Monteros as non-executive director of the company, such appointment to take effect from 18 May 2009.
Mr Espinosa is President and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Espana, SA. He is also a director of the following companies: Acciona (energy and construction), Schindler España (elevators), La Fraternidad (insurance), INDITEX (fashion retailer, ZARA and others) and ARCADIS (Holland - Engineering). His previous directorships in the past five years are: DaimlerChrysler Espana, SA, and Gonzalez-Byass.
Commenting on the appointment, Bob Scott, Chairman of Yell, said: "We are delighted to welcome Carlos to Yell. He is a highly respected business leader who will bring to the board valued insight and experience of, both, the Spanish market and beyond."
Mr Espinosa holds no shares in Yell.
There is no other information required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
In addition, Yell announces that Lord Powell of Bayswater, who was appointed to the board in July 2003, has notified the company of his resignation as a non-executive director, such resignation to take effect from the close of business on 24 July 2009.
Richard Hooper will replace Lord Powell as Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.
