Appointments to the Board

Highland Gold Mining Limited ("Highland"), the AIM quoted Russian gold producer, announces the appointment of four Executive Directors to Highland's board.
Valery Oif, Highland's Chief Executive Officer, Alla Baranovskaya, Highland's Chief Financial Officer, Sergey Mineev, Highland's Head of Exploration & Capital Projects Development and Andrey Solovyov, Highland's Head of Human Resources & Administration have joined the Board as Executive Directors with effect from 11 July 2012.
In respect of the new appointments, other than the information provided below in accordance with Rule 17 of the AIM Rules, there is no other information required to be disclosed pursuant to Schedule 2 paragraph (g) (i) to (viii).

The following information is provided in accordance with Rule 17, Schedule 2 paragraph (g) (i) (ii) and (v) of the AIM Rules:
Valery Oif (48). Since 1 October 2008 he has been the Chief Executive Officer of Highland based in Moscow. He is a graduate of the I. M. Gubkin Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas and worked as Vice President of Sibneft from 1997 through to 2004. From 2004 until June 2008 Mr Oif served as a senator representing the Omsk region, a Siberian constituency, in Russia's Federation Council.
As a result of his interest in Primerod International Limited ("Primerod"), he has an indirect interest of 4.43% in the total issued share capital of Highland. Primerod is the holding vehicle through which OOO Millhouse group hold their 32% interest in Highland.
Alla Baranovskaya (42). Since 1 June 2011 she has been the Chief Financial Officer of Highland based in Moscow. She is a graduate from Moscow State University majoring in Economics. From 2006 to 2007 she was CFO and a Director of Slavneft a Russian Oil and Gas company and from 2008 to 2010 was CFO of Rusneft an oil and gas company. She has no direct or indirect interest in Highland's £0.001 ordinary shares.
Sergey Mineev (51). Since 1 April 2011 he has been Head of Exploration and Capital Projects Development of Highland based in Moscow. He is a graduate from Moscow State University majoring in Geochemistry. From 2004 to 2011 he was CEO and deputy director of different Russian companies - subsidiaries of Russian investment company Renova (Ural Minerals, UralPlatinum Holding, Zoloto Kamchatki where he was a Director, Interminerals). He has no direct or indirect interest in Highland's £0.001 ordinary shares.
Andrey Solovyov (47). Since 1 September 2003 he has been the Head of Human Resources & Administration of Highland based in Moscow. He is a graduate from Moscow State Institute of International Affairs (MGIMO) majoring in International Affairs. From 2001 to 2003 he was Head of Human Resources of Equant Russia. From 1997 to 2001 he was Head of Human Resources of Searle Pharma LLC, Russian entity of pharmaceutical division of Monsanto Group. He has 125,000 available share options in Highland's £0.001 ordinary shares.
