o 7m at 5.4% zinc, 1.7% lead and 77g/t silver in PTDD109 from 231m
o 6.1m at 8.9% zinc, 3.4% lead and 205g/t silver in PTDD109 from 258m
Herencia Resources is pleased to advise that the drilling program at the Guamanga Project has been successfully completed on time and on budget. Six diamond holes were drilled on three targets for a total of approximately 1,500m during this program, with hole depths ranging from approximately 100m to 521m. Drilling results are anticipated by early May 2012.
The Company is also pleased to advise of further high grade drill assay results in relation to its Paguanta Project (Herencia 70% owner) in northern Chile:
PTDD098 - successfully intersected the Camp Vein and returned a high grade intersection (with further assay results pending) of:
·; 7.0m at 7.0% zinc, 2.6% lead and 122g/t silver from 73m including
4.0m at 10.3% zinc, 3.4% lead and 159g/t silver
PTDD104 - targeting eastern extensions to the Cathedral Vein, returned a best intersection of:
·; 3m at 3.2% zinc, 2.9% lead and 133g/t silver from 119m
PTDD105 - this hole, targeting the Cathedral Vein, successfully intersected a broad 10m wide zone of mineralisation with a high grade core of :
·; 3m at 5.8% zinc, 2.2% lead and 160g/t silver from 102m
PTDD109 - was successful in confirming high grades in one of the deepest parts of the Cathedral Vein drilled to date with best intersections including:
·; 7m at 5.4% zinc, 1.7% lead and 77g/t silver from 231m; and
·; 6.1m at 8.9% zinc, 3.4% lead and 205g/t silver from 258m
All significant intersections returned to date from this drilling program are presented in Appendix 1. It is anticipated all assay data from the 2011 Patricia drilling program will be returned in April 2012, allowing an updated Mineral Resource Estimate to be published in May 2012.
Herencia's Managing Director Michael Bohm commented "Our team continues to advance both our Projects in Chile. The results from the Guamanga deep drill program will start coming through in April and we look forward to obtaining those results. Completion of this drill program also sees us achieve our drill metreage milestone for Year One of the Project, under the terms of our earn-in Agreement with our joint-venture partner.
At our Paguanta Project, it is also great to see high grade assay results continuing to flow. What is particularly pleasing is the high zinc, silver and lead assay grades returned from PTDD109 over mining widths favourable for mechanised mining/stoping (in this case 6 to 7m down hole widths). This hole is located in one of the deeper parts of the current resource and is one of the deepest holes drilled into the Cathedral Vein. The Cathedral Vein now extends from surface to depths in excess of 250m. We believe the high grades achieved in hole PTDD109 bode well for the potential for future high grade extensions at Patricia - a theme we keep coming back to given the speculation regarding the potential future supply outlook for zinc."
