H&T Group announces 100th Store Opening 

H&T Group ("H&T" or the "Company"), the UK's leading pawnbroker by size of pledgebook, is delighted to announce the opening of its 100th store in Stockton today, beating expansion targets set out at the time of the Company's initial public offering (May 2006). 

At flotation, H&T stated that it aimed to add approximately 30 stores over the following three years. The opening of the 100th store means H&T has achieved this six months ahead of schedule.

The new store in Stockton builds on a recent acquisition in the area and strengthens H&T's presence in the north-east of England. The Company continues to look for new store opportunities throughout the UK. 

John Nichols, chief executive of H&T Group, commented: "We are thrilled with this accomplishment. This 100th store constitutes an important milestone in the H&T's development. It is also testament to the hard work by all our staff since we floated in 2006. This evidences the success of our growth strategy to date and we are committed to continue developing the business, delivering on our promises to investors and to building shareholder value."
