Goals Soccer Centres plc
AGM Statement
The Annual General Meeting of Goals Soccer Centres plc ("the Company"), the premier operator of 'next generation' 5-a-side soccer centres, will be held at 12.00 noon today, 27 April 2010.
At the meeting Sir Rodney Walker, Chairman, will make the following statement:
"During the first quarter of 2010 Goals opened centres in Liverpool and at Eltham in London. Construction is well advanced in Portsmouth, at Gillette Corner in London and at Ipswich. An additional three centres will commence construction shortly. All of these centres are on schedule to open in the current financial year.
Our first centre in the USA at South Gate Park, Los Angeles is under construction and is scheduled to open in June.
The Company is highly cash generative and has sufficient funding in place to roll out at least six new centres in 2011.
In the period since we announced our results for the year to 31 December 2009, the Company has traded in line with the Board's expectations, having already made allowance for the disruption caused by unusually heavy snowfalls in January and February."
