Notification of Transactions by Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities (PDMRs)

Pursuant to the notification obligations under Disclosure and Transparency Rule 3.1.4R, the Company hereby announces that as part of an internal re-organisation of Mehmet Sepil's indirectly held interests, through Elysion Energy Holding B.V. ('Elysion'), 217,993 voting ordinary shares in Genel Energy plc have been sold for an average price of £3.293496. 

As part of the internal re-organisation Mehmet Sepil's and Murat Yazici's indirect holdings in Elysion will increase as a result of certain other minority shareholders in the holding structure disposing of their indirect interest in Elysion. 

It is intended that following completion of the internal re-organisation and once all steps are finalised (which will not happen simultaneously) Mehmet Sepil's and Murat Yazici's indirect interest in the Company will remain unchanged.

Accordingly, Mehmet Sepil's total holding immediately following this notification is 30,226,181 (12.15%) voting ordinary shares, 1,070,693 (3.61%) suspended voting ordinary shares,

Murat Yazici's total holding immediately following this notification is 985,780 (0.40%) voting ordinary shares and 215,359 (0.73%) suspended voting ordinary shares,
