Retirement of Non-Executive Director
The Board of Gem Diamonds (LSE:GEMD) wishes to announce the retirement of Lord Renwick of Clifton as a non-executive Director with effect from today the 30th June, 2009.
Lord Renwick has advised the board that he wishes to reduce his portfolio of responsibilities and has also recently retired from the boards of SABMiller Plc and Fluor Corporation.
With the retirement of Robin Renwick, non-executive Director Richard Williams MBE MC will take over as Chairman of the Remuneration Committee with immediate effect.
Gem Diamonds Chairman Roger Davis commented:
