("Fortune Oil" or the "Company")

PURCHASE OF SHARES BY A DIRECTOR

Fortune Oil has been notified that Mr Frank Attwood, a Non-Executive Director (Senior Independent Director) of the Company, had today, 11 May 2012, purchased 99,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Shares") at a price of 10 pence per share.

Following this purchase, Mr Attwood has a total interest in the Company of 612,150 Shares, representing approximately 0.03% of the issued share capital of Fortune Oil.

This notification is made in accordance with DTR 3.1.4R(1)(a) and (c) of the Disclosure Rules and Transparency Rules.
