Fortune Oil PLC03 October 2007 3 OCTOBER 2007 FORTUNE OIL PLC ("Fortune Oil" or the "Company") NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS BY DIRECTORS Fortune Oil has been notified today by the following Executive Directors oftheir purchase of ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company: Ms Li Ching, Chief Executive Officer, purchased 500,000 ordinary shares at aprice of 5.978 pence per share and 500,000 ordinary shares at an average priceof 5.9984 pence per share both on 2 October 2007, representing 0.055% of theissued share capital of Fortune Oil. Following this purchase, Ms Li now has an interest in a total of 17,282,570shares, representing 0.94% of the issued share capital of the Company, of which1,300,000 shares are held in a nominee account and she has a beneficialinterest. Mr John Pexton, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, purchased 160,000 ordinaryshares at a price of 6 pence per share on 2 October 2007, representing 0.009% ofthe issued share capital of Fortune Oil. Following this purchase, Mr Pexton now has an interest in a total of 489,557shares, representing 0.03% of the issued share capital of the Company.
