Notification of Transactions of Directors,

Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility or Connected Persons

Filtronic announces the following transactions by directors and persons discharging managerial responsibility. All transactions took place on 2 August 2011, conditionally on admission, as part of the placing announced on that date.

Howard Ford purchased 22,222 ordinary shares at 22.5 pence per share,

Hemant Mardia (including shares purchased by his wife Preeti Mardia, who is also a PDMR) purchased 111,112 ordinary shares at 22.5 pence per share,

Mike Brennan purchased 13,333 ordinary shares at 22.5 pence per share,

Reg Gott (and his connected parties) purchased 44,444 ordinary shares at 22.5 pence per share and

Graham Meek purchased 22,222 ordinary shares at 22.5 pence per share.

As previously announced, former shareholders of Isotek have now been required to sell a total of 2,461,360 ordinary shares in Filtronic at 22.5 pence per share to cover the shortfall in working capital within Isotek at completion of the acquisition, with the net proceeds being retained by Filtronic.

Based on their previous percentage interest in Isotek,

Alan Needle has sold 274,959 ordinary shares and

Chris Mobbs (and his connected parties) has sold 341,288 ordinary shares.

As part of the placing,

Alan Needle purchased 444,444 ordinary shares at 22.5 pence per share, and

Chris Mobbs (and his connected parties) purchased 444,444 ordinary shares at 22.5 pence per share.
