Filtronic plc ("Filtronic" or the "Company"), the designer and manufacturer of microwave electronics products for the wireless telecoms infrastructure market, announces that Mike Brennan, Chief Financial Officer, has informed the Board of his intention to step down as a Director and to leave the Company in April 2014. Mike joined Filtronic in 2009 as Chief Financial Officer.

Alan Needle, Filtronic's Chief Executive Officer, said: "It has been a pleasure to work with Mike. We are grateful for his loyalty, dedication and commitment to Filtronic over his term as CFO and I have appreciated his contribution and support over the years as well as his desire to ensure an orderly handover. On behalf of the Senior Management team and the whole group, I wish Mike every success in the future."

Filtronic's Chairman, Howard Ford, added: "On behalf of the Board, I wish to thank Mike for his substantial contribution to the Company. He has led the Finance function effectively through periods of significant growth and expansion both in the UK and overseas and has been a valuable member of the Board. I would like to express the Board's gratitude for his commitment to Filtronic and wish him well in his future career."

A search for a successor is underway and a further announcement will be made in due course.

The Company confirms that it continues to trade in line with expectations.
