FIRST QUANTUM MINERALS DECLARES AN INTERIM DIVIDEND OFCDN $0.0603 PER SHARE

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. ("First Quantum" or the "Company", TSX Symbol "FM", LSE Symbol "FQM") announced today that its Board of Directors has approved an interim dividend of Cdn $0.0603 per share in respect to the financial year ending December 31, 2012.

The dividend will be paid on September 20, 2012 to shareholders of record on August 29, 2012. The ex-dividend date is August 27, 2012. 

The dividends paid are considered eligible dividends for Canadian tax purposes.
