Ford Motor Co23 April 2007 Contact: Tom Hoyt 313.322.1524 thoyt@ford.com CISCHKE APPOINTED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT AND WILL LEAD SUSTAINABILITY AT FORD DEARBORN, Mich., April 23, 2007 - Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) announced todaythat Susan M. Cischke has been named senior vice president and will lead thecompany's sustainability efforts going forward, in addition to continuing herpresent assignments. Her new title will be senior vice president, Sustainability, Environment and Safety Engineering. She will report to FordPresident and CEO Alan Mulally. "We are at a critical stage in the global conversation on sustainability, energyconsumption and environmental protection," said Mulally. "Sue, as part of thesenior leadership team, will not only help us shape our participation in thisdialogue, but also help us develop the products and processes our customers andour society will demand. Sue has been very successful in leading ourenvironmental and safety initiatives, and we're tapping into her vast knowledgeand experience in those areas in having her take on this responsibility. She hasthe full support of the company's Board and senior leadership team, and I haveevery confidence that she will be successful in helping to drive sustainabilitythroughout our business." Cischke is charged with establishing a long range sustainability strategy aswell as Ford's environmental and safety policy. She previously reported toCorporate Affairs Group Vice President Ziad Ojakli, and will continue to workclosely with Ojakli and the Government Affairs team on safety and environmentalregulatory issues. Cischke previously was vice president, Environmental and Safety Engineering forFord Motor Company, a position she has held since January 2001. As Ford's topenvironmental and safety officer, Cischke continues to have responsibility forassuring that Ford Motor Company products meet or exceed all safety andenvironmental regulations worldwide. She helps shape corporate policy and workswith global regulators on issues ranging from carbon dioxide emissions topedestrian safety. Prior to joining Ford, Cischke was senior vice president of Regulatory Affairsand Passenger Car Operations at DaimlerChrysler. She began her career atChrysler Corp. in 1976 and held various engineering positions until 1994 whenshe was named general manager of Scientific Labs and Proving Grounds.
