Planet Zoo Release, Frontier Publishing Progress, Capital Markets Day
Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV, 'Frontier', the 'Group' or the 'Company'), a leading developer and publisher of videogames, is delighted to confirm the successful release on PC of Planet Zoo as planned, on 5 November 2019. Planet Zoo achieved the global number one bestseller spot on Steam both prior to, and after, its release at 12 noon GMT on 5 November 2019. Planet Zoo is the ultimate zoo sim where players can let their imagination run wild, with authentic living animals who think, feel and explore the world around them. Planet Zoo allows players to experience a globe-trotting campaign, create unique habitats and vast landscapes, make big decisions and meaningful choices, and nurture their animals as they construct and manage a truly modern zoo where animal welfare and conservation comes first.
Frontier is pleased to confirm further progress with its recently announced Frontier Publishing initiative, which is expanding the Company's game portfolio through external development partnerships that use Frontier's proven publishing expertise to supplement its internal development roadmap. The Company is engaged in discussions with a number of carefully-selected potential development partners with games at various stages of development. Two partnerships have already been signed to date, including the agreement announced with Haemimont Games in June 2019. The Board continues to expect that the Frontier Publishing business will become a material contributor to the group in years to come, as more partnerships are agreed.
Frontier also confirms that it will be hosting a Capital Markets Day for institutional investors and analysts at its studio in Cambridge on 12 November 2019. No material new information will be provided at the event.
