14 December 2018 - Experian plc, the global information services company (the "Company"), notes today's announcement by London Stock Exchange Group plc of the appointment of Don Robert as Chairman-designate, and announces that Don has notified Experian plc of his intention to step down as Chairman and as a Director of the Company at the later of the conclusion of the 2019 Annual General Meeting of the Company, to be held in July 2019, or when a successor is in place.

The Experian plc Nomination & Corporate Governance Committee will oversee the process of appointing a successor to Don, led by George Rose, Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director. A further announcement will be made once the appointment process concludes.

George Rose, Deputy Chairman and Senior Independent Director, said on behalf of the Experian Board:

"Don has played a huge part in the success of Experian. Having been appointed to the Board at the time of Experian's IPO in 2006, and then as Chairman in 2014, Don has provided Experian with impeccable leadership and stewardship throughout his tenure. We wish him well for the future."

Brian Cassin, Chief Executive of Experian, said:

"Don has made an enormous contribution to Experian since joining the Group in 2001. He led the global business as Chief Executive from 2005 and the Board as Chairman through a period of significant transformation and success for Experian. He will be greatly missed, and we wish Don all the very best for the future."

Don Robert, Chairman, said:

"It has been a true privilege to be part of such a great organisation, in many different roles, over such a long time period. While it is with great sadness that I will step down, I do so in the knowledge that Experian is well-placed for the future. Listing Rule 9.6.14R (2) - Don Robert has been appointed as a Director of London Stock Exchange Group plc effective 1 January 2019.
