The Evolution Group plc ("Evolution")
Statement regarding Offer Approaches
On 16 August 2011, The Evolution Group Plc ("Evolution") announced, amongst other things, that the Board had received approaches from a number of parties, in addition to the approach from Investec plc ("Investec"), who were interested in either part or the whole of the Company.
On 8 September 2011, Canaccord Financial Inc. announced that it will not proceed with an offer and will be bound by Rule 2.8 of the City Code on Takeover and Mergers (the "Code").
On 9 September 2011, Investec announced a recommended share offer for Evolution under Rule 2.5 of the Code. The Board of Evolution confirms that discussions with all parties other than Investec have now ceased.
